SENIOR TRADE ADVISER - HIGH GROWTH/LOW CARBON ECONOMY

Job Description

UK TRADE & INVESTMENT (UKT&I) based at the British Embassy in Moscow is looking to recruit two Senior Trade Advisers to become part of its expanding operation in Russia.

These new STA positions have been created to promote one of the UK Government’s main global priorities: to promote a low carbon, high growth global economy, and to address climate change issues.
The job holders will be charged with assisting UK companies to make full use of the business opportunities emerging in the following areas:

• Environmental technology across all sectors
• Carbon abatement technology
• Carbon finance and trading
• Energy efficiency

The new STAs will work to the Team Leaders of UKTI Russia’s Research and Development Team and the Oil and Gas Team. They will be required to have good working relationships with Embassy colleagues in the Science & Technology and Economic and Climate Change sections.

Main Duties & Responsibilities:

 Promote UK capabilities in the above sectors in the context of climate change;
 Help UK companies make full use of business opportunities emerging in Russia in relation to the above sectors;
