Technical Support Consultant (CoE SPB)

Department
Within SAP Active Global Support, the Center of Expertise (CoE) is a department which delivers Customer’s Support in order to ensure high performance, functionality, availability, maintainability, integration and data consistency with regard to the customers’ key business processes. The main methodology for such a support is Onsite Service Delivery, where SAP CoE experts analyse the Customer’s Core Business Processes in the Customer’s project office. There are three main areas of competence in the CoE – financial applications (FI), logistics (CRM, SCM, SRM) and BW.

The CoE supports customers in the entire EMEA region and, upon demand, even globally. To ensure and optimize the management and operation of SAP solutions we take on an essential part in the delivery of support services within the context of SAP MaxAttention, SAP Safeguarding and SAP Premium Support engagement packages.
Tasks
• After a comprehensive education and upskilling phase you will use your know-how in the wide range of responsibilities within the CoE including:
• Analysis of technical and functional issues in Mission Critical productive system landscapes and providing concrete solutions
• Delivery of support services in terms of risk analysis and following technical optimization at customers site
• Technical bottleneck analysis of customer solutions
• Participation in escalation and de-escalation activities for strategic customers
• Development of tools and concepts for problem prevention and business management
• Roll-out of support services and trainings to the worldwide support organization
• Providing customer training in technical support and operation of mySAP.com solutions
• Short-term consulting assignments with critical / strategic customers
Requirements
• You are the right person for this job if you dispose of the following qualifications:
• You have or will soon have an excellent university degree in one of the following areas:
Computer Science, Mathematics, Chemistry, Physics, or Engineering.
• You are able to think analytically and you are a good communicator, skilled in dealing with customers and enjoy coordinating.
• You are willing to work on-site for extended periods at our key customers or in our Support centers worldwide
• You work well under pressure and display creativity and flexibility when supporting comprehensive customer solutions
• You are interested in business process analyses and design as well as in software architecture
Skills
• You have good programming skills in C/C++, ABAP, Java, ASP, VB, XML or HTML
• You have technical skills in databases (e.g. ORACLE, IBM DB2, MS SQL Server), principles of database requests and operating systems (e.g. Unix, Windows)
Languages
• Very good communication skills in English are essential as you will work in international teams
